PAD THAI FACTORY TO OPEN 1ST KIOSK IN LUZON CALOOCAN CITY

The first-ever Pad Thai Kiosk (PTF) franchise in the country welcomes another addition to its growing outlets as it is set to open its first kiosk in Kai Mall, Caloocan City. This will be the fourth store in the Philippines and the first outside of Negros Island following Little Shops, Lopues East Mall and the flagship kiosk at SM Bacolod. Pad Thai Factory Kai Mall is set to delight lovers of Thai cuisine beginning September 2024. “We are pleased to announce the opening of the first Pad Thai Factory Kiosk in Kai Mall under the franchise ownership of Ms.

Anna May Cacayan. This announcement is in line with our drive to expand and accelerate the opening of more outlets in Luzon,” said Spragon GP Corp CEO Chef Michelle Gasataya, adding, “We are excited for Ms Cacayan not just on this first PTF Kiosk but on expanding PTF reach to all parts of Luzon. With the signing of the franchise agreement on July 9, 2024 between Spragon GP Corp and Cacayan, Pad Thai Factory will now be serving Metro Manila customers with authentic Pad Thai dishes alongside refreshing Thai teas and satay pairings in Kai Mall Caloocan, a genuine Thai culinary experience in every box. PTF Trailblazer in Luzon Ms.

Anna May Cacayan was first introduced to PTF by U-Franchise Sales and Management. “We decided to venture into the food business franchise and chose from the various concepts presented by U-Franchise. We selected Pad Thai Factory and felt confident moving forward after meeting the passionate and caring Chef Miki,” Cacayan said. Cacayan’s passion for food started with pastries as she spent three years baking and selling cakes online from 2015 to 2017. Prior to joining the food industry, Cacayan was a sales consultant of Mitsubishi Motors Caloocan where she also began selling her baked goods to co-workers and clients. Her stint with baking, though a big hit, was cut short when she was promoted to Sales Manager. After saving up for two years, she resigned from sales and pursued Bread and Pastry courses at the Academy of Culinary Excellence. Her re-entry to the food industry was yet again put on hold during the Covid19 pandemic where she worked again as an international sales consultant for Robinsons Land Inc. When an opportunity opened for her in Sydney Australia, she decided to enrol at the Australian National Education (ANE College) where she studied Cookery 4 and Hospitality Management. Living in Australia exposed her to various authentic cuisines, with Italian and Thai being her favorites. “During my year there, I worked as a part-time pastry chef at Athena Cake Shop in the mornings, studied in the afternoons, and worked as a kitchen hand at Aegean Cafe on weekends,” she fondly shared adding that she then returned to the Philippines to start her own business. The Love for Pad Thai Pad Thai became one of Cacayan’s favorite dishes, so much so that she and her husband traveled to Bangkok, Thailand for their wedding anniversary to experience its authentic taste. “If all goes well, we’ve already spoken with Kai Mall to reserve slots for our business in all the establishments they plan to open across Metro Manila and nearby provinces,” she said as they aim to establish mall-based locations scattered across the metro./PR Photo Caption: Ms.
